Recorded just before the pandemic, "Peak Dystopia" is a testament to Life Strike's unwavering commitment to their craft. Drums were tracked in a single day at Three Phase Studios' rehearsal room in late 2019, while bass, guitar, and vocals found their home in Nick's place in Reservoir. Synths, additional guitar, and vocals were skillfully recorded at Patrick's place in Brunswick. Despite the challenges faced during the pandemic, Life Strike persevered, mixing the album to perfection, infusing it with their unique blend of urgency and resilience.

Life Strike comprises the talents of Nick Pratt, known for his contributions to Deaf Wish and Baba Yaga, on bass, synths, and vocals; Patrick McCabe, who has left his mark with Dollar Bar and Reunited, on guitars, synths, and vocals; and Scott Brique, a dynamic drummer from Nova Scotia and Slow Down. Together, their collective prowess creates a sonic tapestry that immerses listeners in a bleak yet alluring vision of the future, evoking the emotions and intensity of the real downwinders, those affected by the aftermath of cataclysmic events.
